A movable cross-shaped element on the key increases the level of protection against illegal duplication and provides an added benefit in terms of security. The Kaba star cross locking system is protected by an international patent valid until 2036: this means that the key blanks are not available on the market.

Several thousand have been installed in Italian-speaking Switzerland and they have proved to be an excellent defence against theft. Multilock locks, mainly installed in existing doors, are made up of a particular mechanism that locks the door on all four sides by means of rods positioned inside the door by our technicians so that they cannot be seen.
